Abstract
Microsurgical training has the function of
developing skills in a supervised environment
without exposing the patient to risks of the
learning stages. To evaluate the observation of
the surgical field using magnification systems
and degree of complexity when using simulators,
instruments, performing microsurgical knots and
determining expected skills: precision, efficiency
and dexterity at the end of the training. Research
with an analytical, descriptive and cross-sectional
epidemiological design, with a quantitative
approach. Survey of 20 participants divided into
two groups to compare the effect of using a
microscope vs. magnifying glasses. Statistical
analysis: hypothesis test, p-value calculation,
effect calculation, and frequency. The hypothesis
test determined that there are no significant
differences between the two groups studied value
(p = 0.1884), therefore, the effect of using any of
these magnification systems (microscope or
loupes) does not interfere with the performance
of the participants in training. The results
obtained from the surveys determined different
parameters within both groups, such as: improved
handling of the instruments (60% in both groups),
the degree of difficulty of each aspect of the
training, the development of skills such as
precision, dexterity, and effectiveness (50%
students, 60% dentists), the visibility of the
surgical field using the different magnification
systems (60% students, 90%). Microsurgical
training through the use of simulators
accompanied by magnification, lighting and
instruments allow the development of operative
skills in the clinical operator such as: precision,
focus and reduction of working time.

instrumental adecuado. En la actualidad los
procedimientos microquirúrgicos al ser
mínimamente invasivos son utilizados en las
diferentes especialidades de las áreas de la salud;
desempeño optimo a nivel clínico(4).
En año 2016 se realizó un estudio titulado
“Microsurgery Workout: A Novel Simulation
Training Curriculum Based on Nonliving
