It is essential to examine Education from a broader perspective, considering the existing scenario and the training models used in academic preparation, since the teacher applies aspects, factors and phases necessary for the educational system. For this purpose, the objective of analyzing the factors that have evolved in Manabí Education arises. The scientific research focused on quantitative methodology and a quasi-experimental design; To establish the dependent and independent variables, consistent information is used. The population and sample surveyed was 95 teachers who fortuitously attended Zonal Coordination No. 4 of Education, which includes the provinces of Manabí and Santo Domingo of the Tsáchilas; Data was stored with a 30-item survey validated and statistically analyzed in compliance with ethical and legal considerations. Thus, it is relevant that the teacher manifests ownership of techniques and resources, self-confidence, demonstration of emotion and warmth, transmission of respectful behaviors, and narration of experiences in the educational system during the evaluation process that detects strengths and weaknesses. The exploration of this research allows us to establish factors that intervene in Education with the objective of developing an educational system that guarantees meaningful learning with quality.
2024-12-31T00:00:00-05:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Fabrina Monserrate Cedeño Mendoza, MSc., Miguel Giancarlo Ormaza Cevallos, MSc., Olga Lilian Mendoza Talledo, MSc. https://www.itsup.edu.ec/myjournal/index.php/sinapsis/article/view/834 Quantitative reasoning and learning styles in higher level students 2024-07-04T14:04:14-05:00 Raquel Vera Velazquez vera-raquel@unesum.edu.ec Washington Narváez Campana washington.narvaez@unesum.edu.ec Kirenia Maldonado Zuñiga kirenia.maldonado@unesum.edu.ec Carlos Alberto Castro Piguave carlos.castro@unesum.edu.ec
The research was carried out at the State University of the South of Manabí, Agricultural Career with the objective of determining the existence of a relationship between the employability of quantitative reasoning and the learning styles of the students who entered the first and second semesters in the PI 2021 period.
2024-12-31T00:00:00-05:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Oscar Quimis Cajamarca, Andrea Isabel Moncayo Álvarez, Dimas Geovanny Vera Pisco, Diego Sornoza Parrales https://www.itsup.edu.ec/myjournal/index.php/sinapsis/article/view/1115 "Teaching strategies based on the inverted pyramid for the teaching and learning of mathematics." 2024-09-04T14:55:57-05:00 Lic. In this model, students receive study materials, such as explanatory videos, readings, exercises and activities guides, before the face-to-face class. This allows them to become familiar with the topics to be dealt with and take an active role in their own learning. Due to the pandemic of COVID-19, the system of teaching and learning of mathematics in the 8th year of basic education of the Special Educational Unit "Technological Manabí" of Portoviejo, Ecuador, has been modified with educational innovation and the implementation of new strategies and one of them is the reverse pyramid, the following work presents this new methodology that contributes to instruct and explore new forms of education that can be adapted to the needs of each student. The objective of the research conducted at the institution was to assess the level of knowledge and understanding that teachers possess about the use of different didactic strategies with topics related to the teaching of mathematics and the knowledge that they had about the reverse pyramid. The type of qualitative research, with a non-explanatory approach and a descriptive scope, is applied to a sample of 15 teachers. Within the results we can highlight that teachers provide additional support or specific training to implement such a strategy. It is concluded that the proposed teaching strategy should be applied to all teachers and generalized to the rest of the teachers in the institution.
2024-12-31T00:00:00-05:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Lic. It was structured in two phases: the first, a diagnosis to evaluate the knowledge and importance perceived by speech therapists in the intervention in patients diagnosed with or with a tendency to Alzheimer's according to medical prescription; the second, investigative actions to develop effective strategies that improve the health of said patients. Using the logical theoretical method, Alzheimer's was analyzed as a statistically representative disease in the population, addressing deficiencies and absences in speech therapy intervention. The population under study consisted of 30 speech therapy specialists in educational centers, 18 being selected through simple random sampling on days with greater work attendance. A survey divided into two parts was applied: the first to verify the profile of the respondent and the second with seven questions using the Likert scale. Data processing was carried out with SPSS version 26 software, evaluating the reliability of the instrument through Cronbach's Alpha and analyzing the correlations between the elements to interpret the results and the commitment of the participants. The results revealed a moderate to high consistency in the evaluations of the importance of knowledge of Alzheimer's and its diagnosis using speech therapy tools. This underlines the need for specific training in speech therapy and the development of effective strategies for the early diagnosis of Alzheimer's, thus improving the intervention and the health status of patients.
2024-12-31T00:00:00-05:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Frank Angel Lemoine Quintero, Lirianeth Socorro Crespo, Yisenia Dominguez Martínez https://www.itsup.edu.ec/myjournal/index.php/sinapsis/article/view/664 Diagnosis of teaching digital skills in the unified general high school area 2022-12-07T14:11:43-05:00 Miguel Ángel Pinargote Pincay mpinargote2601@utm.edu.ec Carlos Chancay Cedeño carlos.chancay@utm.edu.ec
Today's world is constantly changing technology. Due to the advancement of new information and communication technologies (ICT) in the field of education. This implies that teachers have a certain degree of knowledge in skills and abilities to improve in various fields of their professional work. The objective of this work was to diagnose the digital competences of the high school teachers of the Ciudad de Pedernales Millennium Educational Unit. The applied methodology is descriptive with a qualitative approach and a phenomenological design with a hermeneutical approach. For the diagnosis, 5 teachers of the Unified General Baccalaureate area were considered, through a non-probabilistic convenience sampling, through the application of techniques such as the survey, unstructured participant observation and unstructured in-depth interview, to demonstrate the level of knowledge in digital skills that teachers have in their praxis. As a result, it was obtained that teachers lack knowledge in digital skills such as the creation, search, management and incorporation of virtual environments in the teaching task, which makes academic development and improvement impossible, which allow greater dynamism through ICT in the teaching-learning process.
2024-12-31T00:00:00-05:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Miguel Ángel Pinargote Pincay, Carlos Chancay Cedeño https://www.itsup.edu.ec/myjournal/index.php/sinapsis/article/view/1082 Gamification strategy that favors the teaching-learning process of online higher education 2024-06-28T15:22:22-05:00 Madeline Michelle Rezabala Zambrano madeline.rezabala@utm.edu.ec Leonardo Fabricio Chica Chica leonardo.chica@utm.educ.ec Erick Andrés Caballero Chávez erick.caballero@utm.educ.ec
The research focused on addressing the challenge of promoting the teaching-learning process in online higher education. The general objective was to design a gamification strategy that favors the teaching-learning process of online higher education. The study adopted a mixed. Analytical-synthetic and inductive-deductive methods were applied to decompose the research problem into its individual components, formulate hypotheses and validate them. The target population included 977 students and 8 remedial teachers at the Technical University of Manabí, selected through intentional non-probabilistic sampling. Data collection techniques consisted of interviews with teachers and structured surveys directed at students. The results revealed a positive perception of both teachers and students towards the use of gamification in online teaching. Key elements were identified to improve student engagement, such as the design of interactive and personalized gamified activities. Furthermore, significant correlations were observed between gamification and student motivation. The conclusions highlight the importance of integrating gamification strategies to promote more active participation and improve the quality of the teaching-learning process in virtual higher education environments.
2024-12-31T00:00:00-05:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Madeline Michelle Rezabala Zambrano, Leonardo Fabricio Chica Chica, Erick Andrés Caballero Chávez
