Anemias por hemoglobinopatías: Hallazgos clínicos, epidemiológicos y de laboratorio.

Resumen

Las hemoglobinopatías son enfermedades genéticas que afectan la producción o estructura de la hemoglobina, la proteína que transporta el oxígeno en los glóbulos rojos. Las hemoglobinopatías más comunes son la anemia falciforme y la talasemia, y su prevalencia varía según la población étnica y geográfica. El diagnóstico temprano y el tratamiento adecuado pueden mejorar la calidad de vida de las personas afectadas por estas enfermedades. El objetivo final fue contribuir a un diagnóstico temprano y preciso, describiendo los hallazgos clínicos, epidemiológicos y de laboratorio relevantes. La metodología aplicada fue revisión de tipo documental, descriptiva, se utilizaron términos    MeSH como: hemoglobinopathie, hemoglobin, diagnosis, thalassemia, sickle cell disease, de las distintas bases de datos cientificas como: Pudmed, Sciencedirect, Frontiers, Biomed Central, Springer. Entre los resultados se destacan que pueden causar una variedad de hallazgos clínicos, la gravedad y el tipo de síntomas pueden variar según el tipo específico de hemoglobinopatía; la epidemiologia de estas enfermedades varía según la región geográfica, son más comunes en poblaciones de África, Europa, Oriente Medio y el sudeste asiático; Los hallazgos clínicos de las hemoglobinopatías pueden varias según el tipo y la gravedad de la afectación. Se concluye que Los signos clínicos de las hemoglobinopatías pueden variar significativamente dependiendo del tipo y la gravedad de la afección.
